FTSE4Good Index Series

The index series developed by the global index and data provider FTSE Russell in the UK, are designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong ESG practices.
Otsuka Holdings has been included since 2023.

FTSE Russell (the trading name of FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company) confirms that Otsuka Holdings Co., Ltd. has been independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good criteria, and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series. Created by the global index provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. The FTSE4Good indices are used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.

FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index

A comprehensive ESG index of Japanese companies, using the evaluation scheme of the FTSE4Good Japan Index, with stocks with high absolute ESG ratings neutralized in terms of industry weighting. Otsuka Holdings has been included since 2023.

FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index is used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.

FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index

An index constructed by global index provider FTSE Russell is designed to be sector-neutral, reflecting the performance of Japanese companies with relatively superior environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. Otsuka Holdings has been included since 2022.

FTSE Russell confirms that Otsuka Holdings Co., Ltd. has been assessed according to the index criteria, and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index. The FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.

MSCI ESG RATINGS

MSCI ESG RATINGS evaluate companies' performance in terms of ESG criteria and rank them on a seven-point scale, from the highest rating of AAA to the lowest of CCC. These ratings are a global standard for assessing ESG investments. In 2025, Otsuka Holdings was rated A.

MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index (JPY)

MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index is developed by MSCI. It represents the performance of companies that are selected from the MSCI Nihonkabu Investable Market Index based on ESG criteria. Otsuka Holdings has been included from 2024.

MSCI Japan Empowering Women (WIN) Select Index

An index developed by MSCI of the U.S. Companies are selected based on their promotion of women’s empowerment and high scores for gender diversity, from among companies in the MSCI Japan IMI Top 500 Index. Otsuka Holdings has been included since 2018.

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

An index for ESG investment drawn from TOPIX-listed stocks, with portfolio weight determined by the disclosure status of environmental data and level of carbon efficiency (carbon emissions per unit of revenue). Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF)—one of the world’s largest pension funds—has selected this index for investment. Otsuka Holdings has been included since 2018.

iSTOXX MUTB Japan Platinum Career 150 Index

This index was jointly developed by Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation and STOXX Ltd., a Swiss index provider under the Deutsche Börse Group. This index includes Japanese companies actively and continually promoting a Platinum Career, or the development of skills through autonomous learning and experiences, regardless of age. Otsuka Holdings has been selected for inclusion in this index, from 2024.

CDP

An international NGO based in the U.K. that works on climate change and other environmental issues. It asks the world’s major companies and cities to disclose information on how they address issues such as climate change and water management, and conducts surveys and evaluations. In 2025, Otsuka Holdings secured a place on its annual ‘B List’ for climate change, and received an A‑ listing for water security for the third consecutive year. This recognition places Otsuka at the leadership level in both the “Climate Change” and “Water Security" categories.

Sompo Sustainability Index

The active index independently created by Sompo Asset Management Co., Ltd., combining stock value evaluation with ESG scores derived from the "Environmental Management Survey" and "ESG Management Survey" conducted by Sompo Risk Management Inc. It consists of approximately 300 stocks with superior ESG evaluations and is currently adopted by several institutional investors, including pension funds.
Otsuka Holdings has been included since 2025.

NIKKEI Sustainable Management Survey, SDGs Edition

This survey conducted by Nikkei Inc., comprehensively evaluates initiatives based on the connectivity between the SDGs and management, which contribute to the SDGs through corporate activities and enhance corporate value. Otsuka Holdings was given a 3.5-star rating in 2025.
It covers listed and leading unlisted companies nationwide, and is rated on a 5-star scale according to four factors: SDGs strategic and economic value, social value, environmental value, and governance.

NIKKEI Sustainable Management Survey, Smart Work Edition

This survey conducted by Nikkei Inc. which selects advanced companies that aim to maximize human resources, accelerate human resource investment, create new innovations, improve productivity, and maximize corporate value. Otsuka Holdings was given a 3.5-star in 2026.
It targets listed companies and leading unlisted companies nationwide, evaluating them on a 5-star scale based on three elements: utilization and investment of human resource, technology utilization.
