Otsuka Holdings Receives Award for Excellence for the First Time at the NIKKEI Integrated Report Award 2024

Otsuka Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President and Representative Director, CEO: Makoto Inoue), for its Integrated Report 2024, received the Award for Excellence for the first time at the NIKKEI Integrated Report Award 2024, hosted by Nikkei Inc.*¹ The award*² recognizes remarkable examples with the aim of enhancing and promoting corporate integrated reports, and has been held every year since 1998. In 2024, 496 companies participated.

The Otsuka group operates our business as a total healthcare company, encompassing the maintenance and improvement of health, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. As the environment surrounding us continues to change, Otsuka aims to take more holistic approach to healthcare and contribute to solving social issues. In the Integrated Report 2024, for the year ended December 31, 2023, under the theme of “Being a Part of Life,” it expresses Otsuka’s efforts to realize well-being through creation of new values in every aspect of each individual's life.

“In line with the 4th Medium-Term Management Plan, the uniqueness of the company as a total healthcare company, operating not just a pharmaceutical business, is explained in a highly descriptive manner, with the direction of each business and the relationship between businesses.”

“The report explains how the company contributes to society, using its value creation process, and it also disclosed its strategies and key targets, including ESG pillars, and overall, the report made it possible to foresee the company's long-term creation and improvement of corporate value. The report also received high marks for its extensive quantitative data, including financial information and financial-related information.”
